The MITASU GOLD SN 100% Synthetic family of motor oils, which until recently was “at the forefront of technological progress”, has now ceded its leadership to the MITASU GOLD Plus SP 100% Synthetic range. However, the widest and one of the most popular lines of Mitasu Oil Corporation, Japan is still expanding.

The SAE 5W-40 viscosity grade is becoming less and less common in modern car manuals. Even Europe, which until recently favoured the so-called "full viscosity" oils, with the introduction of new environmental standards was literally forced to move away from the usual 5W-30 and 5W-40 and to use energy- and resource-saving oils of the 0W-20 viscosity grade even in passenger car diesel engines. MITASU GOLD LL SN/CF 5W-40 100% Synthetic – a versatile fully synthetic engine oil formulated with Group III base oils and a patented additive package designed to provide high performance stability. The product meets OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) requirements for extended drain (Long Life) oils, guarantees reliable engine wear protection and prevents the formation of deposits in the engine. According to the product classification, it can be used in both petrol and light diesel internal combustion engines. Bear in mind that MJ-107 has a high base number (10.20 mg KOH/g) and some vehicle manufacturers may restrict the use of such products in diesel engines fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and other advanced emission control systems. However, a high base number and a rich package of anti-wear additives is exactly what is required to extend the life and health of vehicles produced in the last decade and earlier.
