Types of antifreeze

There are four main types of antifreeze available:

  1. Carboxylate antifreeze is currently considered the best. It has the most service life and does not cause the build-up of films that reduce the cooling system’s effectiveness.
  2. Lobrid antifreeze – antifreeze made from carboxylic acid and a small amount (10%) of inorganic components.
  3. Hybrid antifreeze contains carboxylate salts and inorganic acid inhibitors.
  4. Inorganic antifreeze - outdated type of coolant that contains inhibitors based on inorganic acid salts (silicates, nitrites, phosphates, etc.). They have a lower service life and can affect the cooling system’s performance, reducing its effectiveness.

Benefits

MITASU carboxylate based antifreeze protects inner surfaces of the cooling system from film forming that impairs the heat transfer. Carboxylic acid based inhibitors act locally creating a protective coating only in areas where corrosion is present.

From 1 °C
When water freezes, its volume expands by 20%, which may rupture the cooling system.
Up to 69 °C
Mitasu Oil antifreeze practically does not change with freezing temperatures. It retains its liquid structure turning into a gel.
Conventional antifreeze forms a film that reduces heat transfer.
Mitasu Oil antifreeze acts intelligently only in areas where corrosion is present, improving heat transfer and increasing the efficiency of the engine cooling system.

Organic Acid Technology

Due to the Organic Acid Technology, Mitasu carboxylate based antifreeze has longer service life of 5 years or 100,000 km.

How to replace antifreeze

Anti-forgery measures

A special lid and embossment on the handle and the front of the plastic can helps to distinguish the genuine product from the counterfeit one. The barcode will allow you to check the country of origin on the website www.gepir.dsri-dcc.jp

Quality Margin

All our products are marked with the logo "Support for Japanese cars abroad", which guarantees not only the highest standard of Japanese quality, but also the efficiency in countries with lower standards of fuel quality and service.
