MJ-110. MITASU PLATINUM PAO Plus SN 0W-20 100% Synthetic - energy-saving oil for the latest petrol and diesel engines

11 March 2022

The MITASU PLATINUM PAO SN 100% Synthetic line of engine oils, which is geared more towards European vehicles, has not had any low viscosity products on offer until recently. What is the reason for the "Asian" oil to appear in the "European" range and what distinguishes it from other 0W-20 oils?

A distinctive feature of North American, East Asian and, above all, Japanese vehicles until recently was that they use engine oils with reduced HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) viscosity and various hybrid powertrain schemes. However, the widespread tightening of environmental standards literally made European automakers and, in particular, the "Germany’s Big Three" to resort to emission reducing measures, which have already become a norm in the New World and the East. It must be noted that while in Japan 0W-20 grade oils are typically used in gasoline engines, the Europeans have also resorted to this type of oils in conventional and hybrid diesels powertrains. Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group and Volvo Cars followed this path. In the latest generation of gasoline ICEs in European cars, it has become a norm to use low-viscosity products.

Introducing MJ-110. MITASU PLATINUM PAO Plus SN 0W-20 100% Synthetic – a high quality fully synthetic Mid SAPS engine oil formulated with Group IV (PAO) and Group III fully synthetic base oils reinforced with a powerful additive package. The product meets the latest OEM requirements for oils with extended drain interval (Long Life) and features a low tendency to form deposits on engine parts. It ensures easy start-up at temperatures as low as - 42ºC.

A testament to the high quality of MITASU’s new product is the official MB-Approval 229.71, which allows for MJ-110. MITASU PLATINUM PAO Plus SN 0W-20 100% Synthetic to be used in the latest diesel and petrol Mercedes vehicles, including those under factory warranty.

In addition, MJ-110 can be used in Ingenium-family engines produced by Jaguar Land Rover, the latest BMW and Mini requiring oils with BMW Longlife-17 FE+ approval, GM Duramax LM2 engines, and has a wide application in VAG cars in accordance with VW 508.00 / 509.00 and Porsche C20 specifications. The abundance of approvals of European car manufacturers in no way affects the compatibility of MITASU PLATINUM PAO Plus SN 0W-20 100% Synthetic with Japanese cars, especially that since the use of direct injection and turbocharging in small volume combustion engines has become the norm in recent years, this highly stable low consumption oil will certainly be welcomed in the East.

Featuring high viscosity index and low consumption, the multigrade fully synthetic engine oil MITASU PLATINUM PAO Plus SN 0W-20 100% Synthetic provides:
∙ High fuel efficiency
∙ Extended drain interval
∙ Easy start in winter at temperatures as low as -42 °C
∙ OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) level of quality
∙ Longer life of particulate filters and catalytic converters
