CVT Fluids Line: The Mitasu product range fully meets market needs for continuously variable transmission fluids.

Here we shall look at the range of CVT fluids manufactured by MITASU OIL CORPORATION in order to understand the purpose of various products, their pros and cons.

In the early days of continuously variable transmissions (variators or CVTs (Continuously Variable Transmission)), it was perceived as some exotic component specific to the Japanese domestic automotive market featuring small-capacity engines. Nowadays, variators can be found not only in Japanese, but also European, American, Korean, Chinese and other vehicles in tandem with engines generating up to 300 hp and 400 Nm (Subaru Levorg). The variety of cars equipped with variator transmissions has led to an increasing variety of working fluids for these transmissions, the so called CVTF (Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid).

Here we shall look at the range of CVT fluids manufactured by MITASU OIL CORPORATION in order to understand the purpose of various products, their pros and cons.

MJ-311. MITASU CVT FLUID FE 100% Synthetic is a colourless energy-saving transmission fluid designed for the latest generation of variators equipped with a pushing belt. The product meets the latest OEM requirements:

∙ TOYOTA CVT Fluid FE
∙ NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3
∙ MITSUBISHI DQ CVT Fluid J4
∙ DAIHATSU Amix CVTF FE
∙ SUZUKI CVT Green 2
∙ HONDA HCF-2

MJ-322. MITASU СVT FLUID 100% Synthetic is a colourless transmission fluid designed for the most widely produced variators of the earlier generation equipped with the pushing belt.

MJ-329. MITASU CVT ULTRA FLUID 100% Synthetic is a premium quality transmission fluid designed to work with variators equipped with both the pushing belt and the pulling chain. The product properties and colour (pink) are optimised to meet the requirements of HONDA MULTI MATIC FLUID as well as a very wide range of other requirements.

MJ-329G. MITASU CVT ULTRA FLUID 100% Synthetic is a premium quality transmission fluid that meets a wide range of requirements. It works with variators equipped with the pushing belt as well as the pulling chain. The product properties and colour (green) are optimised to meet the requirements of SUBARU CVT OIL for LINEARTRONIC.

A common feature of multifunctional fluids is that they can be used in a range of car brands and models, which is convenient not only for multi-brand service stations, but also for retail customers who own more than one car with the variator or have a car that requires OEM fluids unavailable on the local market. The disadvantages of such liquids are in essence inherent in their advantages. Since the price of such a product is determined by the production cost of the most "demanding" fluid included in the list of approvals, it may be quite expensive to use a universal liquid as a substitute for some mass-market OEM products.

In order to reduce the servicing costs of mass-market cars, MITASU OIL CORPORATION issued equivalents for most common CVTFs:

MJ-312. MITASU CVT FLUID TC Synthetic Tech is a red liquid designed for CVTs manufactured to meet the OEM standard Toyota CVT Fluid TC.

MJ-313. MITASU CVT FLUID NS-3 100% Synthetic is a low viscosity fluid designed for the latest generation of NISSAN CVTs manufactured in compliance with the OEM standard Nissan CVT Fluid NS-3. It can be used in the latest variators of NISSAN hybrid cars equipped with the pulling multi-row chain. The product has a distinctive green color.

MJ-326. MITASU CVT NS-2 FLUID 100% Synthetic is a green liquid for NISSAN CVTs of the previous generation manufactured in compliance with the OEM standard Nissan CVT Fluid NS-2.

While fully complying with car manufacturers’ requirements, these products are offered at a more attractive price and are primarily intended for retail buyers.

MITASU OIL CORPORATION is continuously working on expanding the range of automotive oils and fluids as well as improving the performance of the existing products, which allows them to meet the maximum number of requirements set by manufacturers of modern cars and equipment.
